Anthony Muiyuro

Regional Director - Syntura

Tony is the Regional Director for Syntura EA, a trusted, global Technology partner providing advisory, infrastructure and managed services. Leading the Africa region for Syntura Group, he helps organizations build robust and scalable digital capabilities including cloud adoption, modern work, AI, security and network connectivity.

He a seasoned Technologist having held senior leadership positions in various multi-national organiations such as Deloitte where he was a Partner leading the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice, KPMG and EY.

He is highly entrepreneurial and effective in building and maintaining senior client and stakeholder relationships with a proven track record of delivering and managing Digital & Cyber transformation projects with positive outcomes. Tony has experience shaping National ICT policies and regulations and has contributed to the development of the National Cybersecurity Strategy. He has a deep knowledge and understanding of the African ICT landscape with a special focus on eGovernment. He is a regular speaker and thought leader at various Industry and Multi-sectoral conferences and seminars on matters of Digital Transformation, Digital Economy, Emerging Technologies & Cybersecurity.

Tony has been involved in the provision of Consulting, Advisory, and Cybersecurity Transformation services to many of the leading blue-chip companies as well as several key government institutions across the East Africa and beyond.He serves on various global and pan-African bodies as a board member such as the IESBA Technology Experts group, Africa Cyber Defence Forum, Power Learn Project, IAMTHECODE and ISACA where he was also the President of the Kenya chapter.

He holds a Master of Science Degree in IT from Strathmore University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology. He is a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC) professional. He is also an ITIL and CSX certifications holder.

He has been feted as a Top 40 under 40 men in Kenya by Business daily and is a passionate mentor to young IT professionals with the vision of equipping, nurturing and inspiring the next generation of IT & Cybersecurity experts. He has been recognized as Global shaper by the Word Economic Forum.
