Julius Muia

Lead-Public Sector - Andersen

Julius Muia , is the Public Sector Lead in Andersen specializing in finance and public policy. Prior to joining Andersen in 2023, he served as Principal Secretary, the National Treasury, Kenya.

This was preceded by 10 years stint in public policy and economic planning when he served as CEO of the National Economic and Social Council, Director General of the Vision Delivery Board, and Principal Secretary, of Economic Planning. Before joining government in 2008, Dr Muia had served in various capacities in the private sector as head of finance and external auditor with PWC. He is a regular speaker in finance, socio-economic policy, leadership and development. Dr Muia is currently serving in a number of boards in and outside Kenya. An aluminous of University of Nairobi, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Fellow of the Institute of Certified Secretaries and Associate Kenya Institute of Bankers.
