Medard Lubega Sseggona

Chairperson - African Organization of Public Accounts Committees (AFROPAC)

Hon. Medard Lubega Sseggona is a distinguished Ugandan legislator, lawyer, and advocate for public accountability. He serves as Member of Parliament for Busiro County East and currently chairs the Public Accounts Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities, and State Enterprises (PAC-COSASE) in the Parliament of Uganda and is also the Chairperson of the African Organization of Public Accounts Committees (AFROPAC).

A graduate of Makerere University (LLB Hons), he is Senior Partner at Lukwago & Co. Advocates and has a rich background in constitutional law, human rights, and commercial litigation. Hon. Sseggona previously served as Minister for Information and Spokesperson of the Buganda Kingdom and served as a Shadow Minister for Justice & Constitutional Affairs for ten years.

He is a member of the with the Uganda Law Society, International Bar Association, and Advocates Without Borders.
