Mrs Angelique Kantengwa

Angelique Kantengwa is a distinguished leader with over 27 years of investment experience, specializing in East Africa. She has driven financial innovation, economic development, and sustainable social impact across Rwanda and the broader region.

As Managing Director at BDO Corporate Advisory Ltd. Rwanda, she established the Corporate Advisory function, structuring deals and leading the FCDO-funded Manufacturing Africa Rwanda program, mobilizing over $170 million in foreign direct investments and creating or preserving 8,000+ jobs. Previously, she headed the Rwanda Social Security Board, integrating 500,000 members and $800 million in assets, and served as Senior Director for Financial Stability at the National Bank of Rwanda.

She is the Founder and Managing Partner of Salama Capital Ltd. A Harvard Kennedy School alumna, she holds degrees in Economics and Social Sciences from Belgium. Multilingual and culturally versatile, her expertise spans investment strategy, financial analysis, economic policy, and human resource development.
