Nadine Ann Kater

Director Education and Transformation - IRBA

Nadine Kater is the Director of Education and Transformation at the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA), leading strategic initiatives in audit development, professional body accreditation, CPD compliance, and transformation. With over 35 years of experience in education and professional development, she has held senior roles at SAIPA, SAICA, ACCA, and Fasset. Nadine’s international impact includes serving on IFAC and PAFA education committees, contributing to global standards and sustainability initiatives. A former teacher turned executive leader, she holds a Higher Diploma in Education, a B.Comm, and an MBA from GIBS. Nadine is driven by a deep commitment to advancing inclusive pathways in the accounting and auditing profession, believing that influence comes from passion and purposeful action, not titles. She was named one of South Africa’s Most Influential Women in 2012 and a finalist for Africa’s Most Influential Woman in 2014 and 2019. Her legacy is one of empowering others and creating enduring educational change.
