Kigali, Rwanda's vibrant capital, is ideally located in the heart of the country, nestled among rolling hills and valleys, with excellent road connections to all regions. CURRENCY AND PAYMENTS
The Rwandan Franc (FRW) is the official currency of Rwanda. Major international currencies can be exchanged at banks and authorized exchange bureaus. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and larger stores, but it's recommended to carry cash for smaller businesses and markets.

- Malaria is present in Rwanda, so take preventive measures such as using insect repellent and sleeping under mosquito nets.

- Kigali is generally safe, but usual precautions should be taken, such as avoiding poorly lit areas at night and keeping an eye on personal belongings.
CONNECTIVITY
You can purchase a local SIM card at the airport or local shops. Wi-Fi is widely available in hotels, restaurants, and conference venues.
WEATHER
In May, Kigali enters the beginning of the dry season, experiencing reduced rainfall compared to previous months. Temperatures typically range from around 15°C to 27°C (59°F to 81°F). While rain is less frequent, occasional showers are still possible. Expect mild and relatively stable weather conditions, but it is always wise to be prepared for changes.
LANGUAGE
Kinyarwanda is the national language of Rwanda and is spoken by nearly the entire population. It is one of the country’s official languages, alongside French, English, and Swahili. To ensure a seamless experience for all delegates, congress staff will be available to assist with any language-related matters. Simultaneous interpretation will also be provided during plenary sessions in English, French, and Portuguese.

About ACOA 2025
The Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) boasts of 18 venues with space for over 5500 attendees. These meeting venues can be easily combined and configured, offering unparalleled flexibility and scale for events of all sizes. One of the highlights of KCC is the Auditorium, located beneath the Dome. This multifunctional facility can accommodate a wide range of events, from summits with 100 participants to concerts with audiences of over 2500.
Congress fees
The fee includes a comprehensive package designed to enhance delegates’ experience and participation, i.e., access to all sessions, congress materials and resources, meals and refreshments during session breaks, admission to networking events (including the gala dinner and various social activities), sports and recreational activities, certificates of attendance, access to the exhibition area and a delegate kit.
